I am excited to release the poster of our upcoming experimental short film Bread. The film will have its premiere on 20th February 2026 at the Goa Open Arts Festival 2026!
Synopsis
One night, hunger and boredom compels a solitary woman to go on a breezy bicycle ride in this experimental short. She embarks on a journey in search of some comfort food, a popular local delicacy, available at a busy roadside diner. Unexpectedly this external journey quietly ends up guiding her internal journey, leading to a rare discovery of hope and a sense of purpose while navigating some temptations on the way along with a brief encounter with a mysterious neighbour.
Through this film I invite you to witness and engage with a side of Goa rarely seen on the cinematic medium.
In terms of form, this intimate experimental short film attempts to push the boundaries of what can be considered cinema. By combining elements of fiction and non-fiction, it crafts a philosophical enquiry into the significance of cinema in the pursuit of a meaningful life, drawing on the timeless verses of Khalil Gibran’s The Prophet.
