The time that all of us were so eagerly looking forward to is finally here. You are reading post #1. The first post of the year 2020. Yay! As promised, you are going to start feeling #lit right after reading the very first post itself.

I have SO much to say about SO MANY different topics that I don’t even know where to begin. But, I do know what to write today.

I have been called pretentious. And its good alright. I pretended I had something “important” to say the moment I made a decision to go Live/broadcast my ideas. Even now as I am forming these sentences I am consciously avoiding using the first sentence formation that is coming to my mind. The highfalutin title of this post is enough hint for you to make that guess. Why? I am no sheep. I am different. I jump off the bandwagon all the time. Mainstream sucks.

Be pretentious.

You know the best thing about ‘pretend’ is, you have so much variety. One day you can pretend to be happy, some day you can pretend to be sad, then another day you can pretend to care about animal rights, women or whatever is cool/hip/trendy at a given point of time. And then come back to pretend to not care at all(about anything). Like a cool fool.

I always impress people. Even when I am not trying. Even when I don’t want to. Gosh its really boring to be the impresser like all the time. If I just say I am a free-spirited girl who likes to travel a lot (but doesn’t really. I will tell you more about my thrilling travel adventures later), people get impressed. They give me a look full of awe and surprise. As if they have never packed their bags and just gone off somewhere.

Yes. It is very easy to impress people.

I will make sure you learn it. But this is only possible if you continue to read this post and follow this blog diligently. Just the way you follow your idol or influencer on Instagram(soon its going to be this blogger). FYI radchicwrites.com has already made it to a LIST. You know one of those “Top (insert figure) Blog List”. You can have a look at it on blog.feedpost.com. Look for no. 120 021. 😛 I think this gives enough legitimacy to this blog to begin with. No?

I read. A lot. I know I know what you are thinking? Why am i wasting my time flipping pages after wordy pages? Especially in this day and age when internet has made sure we all feel smart and a little bit intelligent. But I can’t help it yo. Its addicting. I have nothing to do when I ride in the metro. I really tried doing something else. I tried watching a cult series on my mobile. But I just couldn’t. Because there are a lot of fellow commuters who don’t carry earphones and play some random video from their social media feed loudly. And so I cannot hear anything thats playing on my phone through my in-ear earphones. So I quit doing that. I am a little slow at keeping up with trends.

Just be seen with a book.

That’s all there is. You will look hot as fuck in that metro/train/bus or any other shared transportation when everyone around you looks stretched with all those wires hanging around them. You will stand out. Doesn’t really matter if the book you are reading puts you to sleep. A book still looks good on you even if you are dozing off while holding it in your hand.

Another thing that doesn’t matter is which book you are seen with . If you like me belong to a nation where most people don’t really believe in reading novels it wont matter even if you hold a copy of Twilight. No offense to Twlight lovers but I tend to judge a lot. But its okay others wont. What? you thought I would obviously say Chetan Bhagat? hahah. No!! He is anytime better than Twilight series. Duhh. Just try him before you judge him. Hating him won’t get you acceptance to any of the #lit crowd. Those days are gone. And that crowd has dispersed long ago. That’s why you need to find yourself a new crowd.

Just do yourself a favour and read.

I don’t think it will make you smarter but a book definitely looks good in your hand. Heck! Its even cheaper than any Gucci type bag. A pirated copy will also do the same magic.

What I am suggesting here is very practical and specific.
