Thank you for murdering my curiosity right at the school gates. After all, curiosity kills the cat. And I am alive as you can see. Only because of you!

This cat from the medieval period lost her life to excessive curiosity. R.I.P Kitty

Thank You teacher. Wish you a very happy Teacher’s Day to all my SCHOOL teachers. Thank you for making me hate “education” and “learning”. Particularly Science and Mathematics.. Or YOUR versions of it. Whatever it was. And making me feel utterly useless for loving anything other than that. Languages? Art? Sport? Bleehh. Distractions.

Thank you for all those wonderful years- WASTED! 😁

Oh!  I am so glad that you prepared me for the “real” world so well.

Your timely impersonal guidance and your mean but apt judgements about  my abilities and future prospects have helped me live my  life to the fullest… so far.

I don’t know about others but you were truly an inspiration for ME. You inspired me to follow my heart and pursue passionately a safe and secure life. You encouraged me to be oh so different and focus on Science and Mathematics. YOUR versions of it. And aim for IITs and IIMs and Engineering or something like that. And look where I ended up today. OOONNNN Social Media!! That’s right. Desperate for likes and views and validation and…. Paid uhh promotion. 😛

Thank you Teacher for murdering my curiosity right at the school gates. After all, curiosity kills the cat. And I am alive as you can see. Only because of you! 🥰

It helped because now I am not at all curious to know how much my neighbour is earning. I am not at all curious about the marital status of my distant friends and cousins. Or what you think of my writing, videos, or me. I don’t care at all. All thanks to you dear teacher. Thank you for the early training!

Oh and how can I forget.

Thank you for shutting me up sternly when I asked “out of the syllabus” questions in the classroom. A questioning mind is the most useless mind in these current times as you can see. Besides Quora.com already has all the right questions. Why should I bother myself. You knew this early on. Didn’t you?

Thanks for discouraging me from expressing my views in the classroom. You were the first people who told me that freedom of speech is the most useless thing. I mean what good is it in a democratic society where I could be jailed, trolled or harassed in the very real world of social media republic for expressing my ill-informed views. Thanks for punishing me early on ..for that.

Oh BTW since I am here I would also like to apologise for misunderstanding your obsessions with marks or grades. I mean it turns out that those .05% or.01% or 0.001 % did matter beyond the obvious purposes of comparisons with my best friend pinky’s marks. You see today I can comfortably compare the percentage of my in hand salary with that of my co-worker. I mean, fat salaries are what we went to school for right?

*Sighhhh* I mean I could go on and on and on about the minuscule impact you have had on my life. But I will stop here since you must be very busy and actually looking forward to imitating an actual teacher.. whatever that is.. on at least this day. And this silly post can’t take that precious time away from you.

So thank you!! AND HAPPY TEACHER’S DAYYY.. *muaaaaahhh*.
